The Mckinney team in Texas stayed safe as the storms raged through the state last week. Our offices in Dallas, San Antonio, Houston and Laredo closed for most of the week as the roads were unsafe to drive, power outages, and some dealt with frozen pipes bursting. We are back at work and resuming normal activities this week in Texas. We are thankful for their perseverance.
Mckinney is more than a company, we are a member of the community. Our team is working on the donation of a trailer, filled with bottled water, that will go from California to Texas. Many areas are still under a boil water notice.
There is always a worry about fundraiser or organization scams during these types of outreach. If you would like to reach out and help, below are legitimate links to news organizations and non-profits that support the people of Texas.
KHOU11 in Houston has posted verified organizations that you can contribute. https://www.cnn.com/2021/02/17/us/texas-winter-storm-how-to-help-iyw-trnd/index.html

They have also partnered with Public Good to create a campaign where you can donate to the general campaign and they will disperse the funds, or you can select an organization and directly donate it to that non-profit. https://impact.publicgood.com/campaign/32aae311-7e95-485d-9f7a-931486471b96
