What is required to rent a trailer?
An approved credit application and proper insurance is required. Fill out our online credit application to get started and a Mckinney representative will contact you.
Who is responsible for automobile liability and collision insurance?
The renter or lessee is responsible for insurance, with a liability of $1,000,000.00 combined single limit, injury and property damage. Comprehensive coverage must be equal to the equipment value, with a deductible of no more than $1,000.00, and Mckinney must be listed as “loss payee” and "Additional Insured".
Does Mckinney offer insurance?
We offer a convenient alternative to third-party insurance in the form of a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW). It is a simple and effective way to limit your liability in case your equipment gets damaged. How can I pay for my rental?
Mckinney allows our customers to pay by direct bill with an approved credit application or by ACH.
Is there a mileage charge, and what is it for?
Yes, there is a mileage charge. It is a usage fee applied to cover tires, brake, preventive maintenance, and federal annual inspections.

What do I do if the trailer needs repair?
During normal business hours, please contact the Service Manager or service shop at the Mckinney location that you rented your trailer from. For after-hours repairs, Mckinney has a nationwide toll free emergency repair service to assist you, at 1-877-777-6511.
